When i was about 5 i thought i saw a ghost. Ever since that night i have not been able to sleep alone. I literally get super paranoid and start to feel anxiety if I am in a position were i have to sleep alone. I also have to have y bed pushed up against the wall and i have to sleep on the side against the wall. I cant sleep on the side of the bed that faces the open room. I constantly feel like something or someone is staring at me. I also dont like being the last person in the house to fall asleep. Ex: If im at a friends house(which i rarely do because my problem) and we are sleeping in the same room and she falls completely asleep before me i start to get anxious. I constantly think im seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye but when i look nothing is there. Just the other day i was at a friends house and i was sitting in their bedroom with their baby boy. I was on the bed and the baby(who cant talk, walk, or even get out of his crib) was across the room in his crib. I heard next to my head someone say "Hey Amanda". I got up and ran to the living room. My buddies were down the hill at their brothers house, i was the only one inside at the time. I ran down to their brothers house and told them i HAD TO GO and left immediantly. My biggest fears include the dark, ghosts, and demans. Is this normal??

Everyone has chronic fears of something. Yours is the paranormal. Otherwise known as Phasmophobia. There are people you can talk to you about this to help you cope. I hope I helped :)
don't worry i am a doctor!
Auditory and I suppose visual hallucinations however are far from normal. If you had this since you we're young means you have full blown schizophrenia by now. In your case however the effects of it on your life are relatively small, apart from the difficulty to sleep and some OCD-like habbits you have to follow. Better than a voice telling you to kill people or a delusion that follows you around all day long. If what you say is true, you need psychiatric help and medication. Should allow you to live a pretty normal life.
Anyway a sweet dolphin plushie helps me sleep^^
there are no ghosts-never been proven, as a grown up man you should know this now. I could understand if you were still a child-but kids can't separate reality from fantasy.
maybe you should see a therapist, you might have schizophrenia if you're actually seeing or hearing things that are not there.
