Is it normal that I clean the inside of my nails with a pencil?

I usually use toothpicks for this.

Yeah just be careful because you may get pencil drawn on the inside of your nails, and it makes it look worse

I use the cap from a biro pen. They have that little pointy bit that sticks out.

My friend does that too but not only with a pencil she does it with anything she sees is sharp

I used to do that. Now I bought a pack of pens with caps perfect for that.

Use a soft bristled brush and scrub under your nails with soap and warm water!

You could purchase a nail brush like they have at nail salons. You know, when they tell you to get up and go wash off your hands before they finish. (I am a guy and only know this because my family owns a nail salon and I help during the summer.) Those brushes are made to clean out dirt. So, get one of those brushes, you can get them at any beauty supply or in a nail manicure pack, less than $10.

What an idiot

I recommend not using a pencil, the lead is probably bad for you. Pen caps and toothpicks are better. I tend to use an earring or something...
