Good for you. I was abused by family members off and on for years. I gave up on people too. I was a complete hermit for a long time, and im still having a hard time getting along with and relating to people.
Everything will get better though. You will start to realize over time that there are genuine good people out there.

There are good people, but there is also nothing wrong with being by yourself. The most important relationship you have in life, is the one you have with yourself.

When I come across someone like you, I usually want to help them "get back in the game", but it's probably best to just take your time and start dating again when you're ready. 2 years is quite a long time though.

If you don't care, it should be because you can't be bothered, not because of the bad experience of being screwed over. Maybe you should look for someone that can help you get over what happened in the past.

it doesn't matter if it's a month or two month or one year that you haven't dated, you decide when you're ready, don't feel pressured to do anything. Bad relationships can cause a lot of damage and the pain doesn't go away by magic like many ppl believe. So for now just take care of yourself and do what makes you happy.
