Is it normal that I don't know what I look like?

Every picture I'm in, every time I look in the mirror or see my reflection, I NEVER look like the image of myself that I carry around in my mind.

And then I thought about it. Do any of us really know what we look like? I mean, the only way we can look at ourselves is via reflection or photograph. We can't remove our eyes and point them towards our faces..

Anyway, is it normal that I truly don't know what I look like?
