Is it normal that I don't like the Lion King?

The title is pretty self-explanatory. I don't like the Lion King. I just don't like it. It's a decent, pretty average movie, and I've definitely seen better.

The reason I'm asking is, I've noticed that the Internet in general seems to have adopted the Lion King as a mini religion, and I just don't get it. I don't like it. IIN?

I can't take this seriously. You know it's normal to dislike something. Try posting a poll.

BTW, The Lion King is my all time favorite disney movie. So while you can certainly dislike it, I hope Mufasa eats you.

I wasn't asking if disliking something was normal- I was asking if specifically disliking the Lion King was. And apparently it is not.

We all have different tastes. Not a big deal. I dont like dark crystal but I know a lot of people who do. I dont think it is poorly made just not my taste.

Yes, I never cared for The Lion King. Brings back bad childhood memories. My sister used to be obsessed with it. Even had lion king clothing and I had to sit there and watch it with her even though I hated it.

I've managed to avoid it because I think it's been too built up and would probably disappoint me now. Plus I don't really like Disney's style of animation, so I may not have liked it either.

Just because it's a kids' movie doesn't mean that adults can't enjoy it. There are plenty of kids' movies that are just as made for kids as they are for adults. That's one of the reasons why Disney is a mass appeal to people- it's family friendly enough for kids, but they still make interesting stories and characters for adults to be invested in.

Or, you could be trolling. That's possible, too.

Yes, it's normal to dislike something that other people like.

My main issue with the movie is that Timon and Pumba come in the movie FIVE MINUTES after Mufasa died.
