I am a college student from the mainland of China and just newly arrived in America.I hate some of you Americans expecially those who are fussy about our goverment, appearance and English-speaking. I don't like our goverment either, but it's simply like Moms don't neccisarily like all of their children's behavior.
And you always like to judge Chinese people in terms of our poor English. Let me tell you the truth, we all sincerely wish to learn English well but it simply doesn't work out so well.We don't intend to speak poorly just to piss you off.In fact, a lot of Chinese people have so much passion for English study that English teacher has become the one of the most popular and respectable proffessions in China now.
I also notice some of you have problem with our personality, complaining that we are all selfish, cold and greedy people.Well,I have to admit that might be partly true because China is a country of a big population, just 1 percent groupe of people might outnumber of a medium-sized country. There are some fellows who are not so nice.The number of them is outrageous but it's not such the case when it comes to the proportion. Most of us are as good as the majority of people from other coutries around the world.
Some people talk about how ugly we Chinese look and how unpleasing our faces are. Come on, how do you know that we are thinking you are the same ugly as you are thinking us? Just like we all feel that people from the other racial groups all look the same! So stop holding stereope towards our Chinese. That is rediculous and doesn't make any sense!

And I understand where you're coming from, but please don't think that every American is the same. I've never had anything against you guys.
You want some Chinese stereotypes? Here you go: "you Chinese are very intelligent" and "Chinese people age so well!"
Wow those sound like downright compliments! No matter what country you go to or what country you're from, if you're a foreigner people will make fun of your accent. In short, Greeks are judged by their poor English. Russians are judged by poor English. Indians are judged by poor English. And if an American went to China, they'd be judged by their poor Chinese. It's not ok but it's a fact! Don't act like a victim.
Everyone in every country has prejudice. Don't single the US out. There are countries out there way more racist than the US.

Stop hating. Life is short, there's not time to hate people. There are some mean people in America, there are some downright evil ones. But there are also beautiful, wonderful people. And if you can't see that, then it's your own loss.
