In my opinion, pride brings about a lot of problems in the world. In my opinion, there are two kind of pride- self-pride, and public pride. Self pride is good. It's self-esteem. But public pride is the kind of pride that excludes people who aren't like you. It's one thing to like being from a country, it's another thing to start pages on sites all (for example) "Narnian Pride!" Or if you're of a certain race (for example) "Aquamarine Pride!"
Obviously, I don't think very many people have aquamarine skin, but you know what I mean. I think pride often brings people together, but only people who are similar. If we want acceptance, and diversity, I think we need to swallow some of our pride and admit that we're all human.

I often wonder what makes people think they are so great. As far as I'm concerned, they're just the same as the rest of us, and "6 foot of soil, makes us all the same size!"
