Is it normal that i keep having a dream about my boyfriends death?

Okay, so every night i have the same dream where me and my boyfriend are walking through the park on our way home. Then this guy out of no where this guy walks up and aims a gun at my boyfriend and yells "i kill you Benatar you son of a bitch!" Then cops come up and the guy throws the gun at me, and runs away as the cops chase him. Then my hand slips cause the gun is wet with blood and i accidentily pull the trigger and shoot Benatar. Then i wake up. And i have this dream every night. Every night it gets more detailed. And i was just w ondering if this is normal.

Dreams about death are a good thing it's those about happiness eg weddings & such that are considered bad dreams. also what one tends to dream of at night is what you spent the day thinking subconsciously or consciously. you shoot your boyfriend in the dream this could mean you're afraid you're gonna hurt him in real life so the thoughts manifest themselves in the form of a dream. try to stop thinking about the dream ALL the time the dream will "escape" you. goodluck

Maybe subconsciously you want to kill your boyfriend.

My analysis of the dream: You are afraid that you will lose your boyfriend suddenly due to misfortunes that will be blamed on you even though it was not your fault (wrong place at the wrong time) and that you feel there could be further retribution than just losing him (the cops arresting you, you being judged and punished).

The general jist of it is that you are afraid to lose your boyfriend due to unforseen circumstances that involve you but are not your fault.

But that's just the Freudian approach.

I agree with Neuro ^ so i'm going to propose a different idea than apposed to my origional thoughts
~You want to break up with him, but he;s emo so your afraid he'll kill himself, in turn, you being teh one who killed him??? Who knows lol
