Ok well im definately not a stereo typical person or a racis i think that everyone is beuatiful and i cant stand itt when people say that dark skinned girls arent pretty becuase i am a dark toned girl myself and im not going to lie i used to hate my color because it seemd that males always wanted the typical light skinned girl with long hair or whatever but now i think about it and thats stupid to me...see i really like white boys (not racis or anything) im just attracted to them but i dont think thatthey are attracted to me...and im just like damn thats not fair becuase well most of them think that all black females are all loud and "getto" and obnoxious but that IS NOT TRUE!!! becuase i am an intellegent black female and i think that i have a great personality if they just get the chance to talk to me or get to know me..but im really crushing on this white boy...and i dont think he has or tries to even have the same ineterest in me gimme advice please!!!

Well, let me just say that any boy who doesn't find you attractive because of a stereotype is NOT worth your time anyway. It took me many years to even realize that with my facial structure, body type and skin color, I will NEVER look like the stereotypical "pretty white female". What really helped me was to start reading books by radical chicana/native/black women who embraced their looks (I don't know if you would agree with their beliefs, but I think it's really important to be exposed to affirmative statements about these body types in the media). Once you're able to say, 'honey, I'm NEVER going to look like Miley Cyrus or Britney Spears...but I am EQUALLY beautiful as any white woman, and I'm PROUD of who I represent" then I promise there will be someone (white or not) who will love you for who you are. I think it's fine that you're attracted to white dudes, as long as they KNOW you are not going to try to fit any stereotype. Stating that you're intelligent and have a great personality shows you've already got the confidence. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!

I'm a white man and I've been more attracted toward black women in general than my own kind. I have a current girlfriend who is white but I am with her more based upon personality than looks.

If you look under my profile, that cartoon image is the best thing I could come up with that looks like me. I could use one of my outdated pictures but I feel that this would be the best possible image to show what I look like.

Feeling attracted to people of other colour is fine, and yes, black women are beautiful too. Make sure that you are not just looking for acceptance though and really do love yourself for who you are.

i feel the same way. it's like people think they know what you're like before you even speak. i'm just really attracted to pale skin. but i guess they are too, and that's the pproblem :/
