Is it normal that I only make friends because of this?

I'm a very introvert person. Don't get me wrong I look very social, I'm pretty, smart, and I do make friends, but I couldnt care less about them and I only make friends so that people won't annoy me because Im siting alone at the lunch table or working in a group activity alone. Basically I only make friends to fit in but when school is over I only keep my closest friend around and sit with her and just smoke weed and have fun!

This is rather pointless in my opinion. And your reason is very poor. You can't tell a handful of people the reason why you are always alone?

Not calling you a liar, but this doesn't add up well with me. It seems more like you use people as a shield against your insecurities. And, when you don't have to be in the eye of the public you use weed as a means to escape from reality. Could be wrong.

If you make friends to fit in, then you care, YOU CARE BIG TIME.

Yeah, that doesn't sound too unusual to me.

This doesn't sound weird at all, I disagree with Space_Ghost?, there's not always a deep physcological reason behind something. Hell, most of the time it's just the way it is, no hidden deep meaning there.

Anyway, try being who you are. No need for fake friends, but if it makes you feel comfortable, go for it.
