In french 'being in love' and 'loving' are very different things since the latter implies some commitment. I guess that 'être amoureuse' falls in between 'having a crush' and 'falling in love' but english is very ambiguous for levels so feelings, so, no, I didn't mean any kind of commitment kind of love, more of a teenage thing. 'loving' to me means 'engaged'.
As for getting hurt less often, I'm not sure, some of you guys are just too hardcore. I've been told stuff like "Before I met you my life was all like, pet dog, get 10 points". Since geeks are not good at communication, I've been dumped without even knowing it sometimes... the worst way if you ask me...
Anyway, sarcasm out the way now. Going for geeky people is less likely to get your hurt. Im guessing that has somthing to do with it...
