Is it normal that my boyfriend doesnt say I love you back everytime?

Is it normal that my boyfriend doesnt say I love you back everytime? He does say it. But not everytime. He is odd with his emotions. It really bugs me too. But he says he only wants to say it when he "feels it." It kinda makes me feel like he doesnt love me. I told him that it bothered me. But we usually get into fights about it.
Do you think it's normal?

Stop being so needy and clingy or find a guy that is analogous to you in that regard? Pick someone with low self-esteem. lol.

You sound pretty young. He wants to say it when he feels like it - you want to hear it a lot. Relax. Give it (your relationship) time. If it is there you will know.

im hoping he just needs time. and im not to sure whats his problem, but i think it goes deeper than just an old girlfriend. i cant figure it out.

If he was to say it back everytime you said it...wouldnt that mean he was only saying it 'cos you did?

Loving someone doesnt mean you have to say it to them all the time, its how you show it that counts.
