Then we've got the smarties who tell me something I don't know (and find interesting). People like wigsplitz, lc1988, NeuroNeptunian, Angel_in_a_Glass_Dress. Special mention to wigsplitz for making me aware of three new things in the space of about 24 hours (that's a high hit-rate), and also to lc1988 (vaginal bacteria, I was genuinely fascinated).
Then there are the cool dudes, the chilled-out, laid back, genuinely nice people like DannyKanes, charli.m, aussiewolf and Captain_Kegstand (special mention to him as he was the first person on the site to extend a friendly welcome to me. Nice guy!) and the people who are wise (joybird and wigsplitz again, from experience it sounds like, but also people like dom180, Allison89, obscurereason, Megid, and Ono, who always have something worthwhile to say).
Then there are the people I find myself noticing because they think like me (disthing, Legion, NoraBaker, Ldizzy1234, sleepingbeauty). Also the people who don't think like me (nobleserpent and ItDuz) but are worth hearing. Then we have a little group of people who make the site better (Saycheese, ...Space_Ghost?, Anime7, lulz, Shackleford96, PumpkinKate, Avant-Garde). I like them all. Special mention to ...Space_Ghost? though, who is becoming everyone's favourite "spirit in the sky". Lights up a room, that one.
Then there are the people who don't really have a category. PapaGee (who scares me a bit. I always think he's going to wrestle me. Some days I kind of hope he would). shuggy-chan (who jumps about the site like Tigger). Faceless (unique talent and a funny, funny man). And Frosties (that dude's got a stripey tail).
And, thank You for making this story. You did a fantastic job putting it together.
Your choice of wording is superb! I've been trying to make a story like this, but never had any success. So, I very much appreciate you doing this. It is nice to have a place I can express my gratitude for the people here. ^_^
There has been other stories and polls like this, yours is the best one! I love almost everyone here so much, I love this site too. I have met some of the best people here and life is really good for me because of it.
I have had few bad experiences here with some of the users, that's why meeting people like dom180, Anime7, Saycheese, Shackleford96 and Frosties has made those experiences meaningful. I learned that there are people, and than there are extraordinary people. And I like the extraordinary ones the best! Oh! And that Frosties guy has the best tail. Very soft too.

More than anything, you made me wonder why vaginal bacteria is more mobile than mouth stuff. It made me wonder what it does and why it needs to get around. And I realised I don't have the first clue.
Now, urogenital bacteria is a bit different, at least for the pathogens. Good ol' E. coli is a good example. You wipe back to front one day, placing E. coli from your anus to the opening of the urethra or the vagina. Now what? It needs to move to find a niche. It's not like in the mouth where it's a big party. Good bacteria are bitches to the E. coli. It needs to keep swimming through the mucosa to find a niche, preferably further up with less oxygen present. They all have their little quirks about the perfect environment for each species...and this was pretty generalized but hopefully you see the point. Another fun fact: Syphilis actually does a corkscrew motion to penetrate cells and infect. Research is still ongoing about how they do this.
Side Note: My favorite bacteria would have to be myxococcus xanthus..aka "the wolf pack." They literally move in unison and devour prey. There's a few videos of this..I used to post it in the chat haha. Anyways, bacteria are complex contrary to popular belief just because they are small.

taciturn - very deep. I missed the smart arse side of him, though.
Dozis - dozis was fucking crazy! I still haven't worked out if he was genuinely nuts, or just taking the piss, but god I wish I'd saved some of that shit. Of all the laughs from this site, I think dozis' posts were the ones I got the most from. The ones that weren't downright fucked up, that is.

There's probably others, but it's midnight, I'm buggered, and I'm also procrastinating.
I never really got a chance to know you, but being in the chat with you was memorable, even though we did not say much.
Another thing that I think IIN is great for is the obvious one, solving people's problems. Every time I've had a problem, IIN has helped me solve it. Just writing here makes me feel closer to solving my problems. I'm a better person from the advice I've been given here, and more importantly the advice I've received vicariously from other people's stories.
The thing I have to thank our community most for is that it'll always be here. The fact that here is a place where I will always be accepted gives me the confidence to do more than I normally would in my real life, and make me more and more comfortable coming out of my shell. If my real life went down the tubes, as it were, I'd always have the wonderful people at IIN to understand and accept me.
The new people on IIN are great. There was a time when IIN had, for me, lost it's charm when a lot of long-time regulars left, but the new generation of IIN members are really great and I love everyone here. I wish I could give everyone here a big hug, even though some of them would probably stab in the back while they did it! But that's the sort of people you are, and I love it.
I wasn't going to do a list, but here's everyone I remember off the top of my head. I tried to put in people from a long time ago who I still remember, but there'll be some I've forgotten I'll do more if I remember more people; I hope I got all your names, syntaxes and numbers right, I can't apologise enough if I didn't. I find they get longer as we continue because I wrote them all in alphabetical order, but here we go:
alv1592 - been here forever; you're one of those people I've never really talked to but always noticed and liked
Angel_In_A_Glass_ Dress - often gives good advice and good fun, even if I don't agree with half the words you say! You're a bright person
Anime - I still remember you before the numbers after name, and I was genuinely sad when I thought you might've gone forever. You're great to have a talk with
Avante-Garde - you're a really interesting and good person. I always notice the stories you post as interesting, and I can often apply them to myself, which I always a good thing
bananaface - you're not normally here these days, but if you ever read this: you were one of my favourite people even to come here, and one of the few people that if I even knew in real life I'm sure we'd've been great friends. Sometimes I've even thought we might've made more than that. Either way, I'll always remember you as a great person
charlie.m - I've seen you in the Chat often when I've been there, which is really not often enough. We'd get on well I thing, but we've never really talked
Dad - I'm sure you'll never read this, because you were only here for a few short weeks, but I really liked your attitude and your advice. So much so that I still remember you, so you must've done a lot right
dappled - you know how highly I think of you, I don't need to say it again. You're such a genuinely great person, and I know lots of people agree. You'd've loved this story, and when you next come back, as I believe you will, I hope you see it. I've laughed and nearly cried at some of the things you've written
Dazzled - you were smart, and I liked you a lot. I was disappointed you never stuck around
disthing - you're a smart but also laid-back person, I think. We never spoke all that often, but a lot of what you have to say resonates with me

Floydzie - again, we didn't talk much, but I believe you're a good person who has often been wrongly attacked. I like you, and I think most people here would agree with me

Frosties - I've pointed out how much I like you before, but I really think you're a great IIN member. The whole package: smart, whimsical sense of humour, not too serious nor too laid-back. I hope you stay here for a long time
ItDuz - you're a tricky person to analyze. I've been trying to work you out for as long as I've been here and I still can't. The only thing I know for certain is that we're not enemies
Joybird - you're another person I really rate. I wasn't really sure when I first came here what to think of you, but I like you. You've rubbed off on me, which sounds far dirtier than I meant it to. I'm sure you'll be here for a while. You're the sort of person who I've never felt has many enemies, which is a great quality. You're a good story-teller
Jweezee - I'll be honest, I didn't like you at first. But after seeing more of you, I conclude that you're a great guy who's comments I enjoy reading very, very much

liiaaa3 - and so we come to you! I really enjoyed reading your comments, and the times when we talked were very, very good. I thought a lot of you, probably more than I let on. One of the people I'd've most liked to meet in real life, and I think we'd have got on incredibly together very well
NeuroNeptunian - you're a really good all-round commentator. Smart, occasionally witty, well-spoken... all the things I like in people who take themselves seriously
NobleSerpent - I'm still not sure if you're a troll. Whether you're a troll or legit, you must be very clever. If you are one, you're my favourite troll these days
PumpkinKate - you give great advice and have a lovely personality. I've always thought highly of you as a person who's very smart and can show it off without being arrogant
radar - you are a really clever person, one of the cleverest. The sort of personality I can really relate to. I ALWAYS like reading what you say, which I can hardly say for anyone else
SayCheese - you said this to me, and I'll say it to you; we don't talk to each other. But I like reading from you, when I do
Shackleford96 - I like it when we talk, you're a genuinely nice person and you seem to have bright ideas. Definitely the sort of person who binds the community together
shuggy-chan - have we talked before? I'm not sure, but I like reading about you an awful lot. Interesting person who I have a couple of things in common with from what I know of you, but I know very little of you!
SoccerStud88 - by way of making up the numbers, you were a troll with the remarkable talent of not being banned for so long. I'm not sure if you ever were, or left willingly
...Space_Ghost? - one of my favourite new members; you're nice, smart and have a great personality. I really, sincerely hope you have a good life, and I'd like to see you stick around. IIN needs people like you
wigsplitz - what can I say? Always nice to have a shouting match with you, and I admire your strength of belief, even if it is so often directly opposed to mine. Definitely a clever cookie
I can come across as rather blunt but funnily enough I've just realised that I don't make enemies - I don't know how you knew this. Strange! I rarely form opinions on people and / or can't remember their names so don't get dragged into the female bitching nonsense, that gets repeated to them! I prefer to laugh things off and think everybody should have as easy a life as possible.
I always think it's easier to explain my point by citing an example - and as I'm sooooo old, I've lived a lot of the teen, 20s, and 30s experiences, except drugs :o)
Ono - I always forget about you, but I tend to agree with a lot of what you say and you often say what I was going to say before I can say it. I don't think I usually give you enough credit for being as insightful as you are.
It is people like you that give me hope when there seems to be none.
You truly are a beautiful and intelligent person. I have much respect for you. I definitely plan on sticking around.
On the profile picture front, if there was a picture you wanted to use you could use a free photo sharing website like TinyPic or Photobucket and put the link in your profile. It's not so much a solution as a possible alternative if you especially wanted to show us a picture of yourself (or something else) :)

I really am some what jealous of your intelligance. You are really a strong girl or I should say woman at your age too. Glad I entertained you in the chat room also.
djpatties- Don't say you don't give good advice. When I first started my account on here you really had helped me and I know you didn't know that. I had kept myself somewhat hidden at the time. Thanks dom180, you seem to give good advice as well. I've had conversations with shackleford, Danny Kanes & I think I've talked to squirrel girl once or twice. You all seem nice. And momonator but I haven't seen him here in a while. And there was one girl named Chrissie who was here for a short time, but I liked her. VsegdaTemnata (or however her name is spelled) commented on one of my posts, to be honest I thought she seemed rude at first, but she didn't quite understand me until I explained better, then she seemed nicer.
I didn't think I would hang around this sight very long, but I find myself drawn here every day to you guys many different senses of humor, family like relationships with one another, and well as real advice! You are all appreciated by this guy!
