I used to be a shithead graffiti kid when I was younger. I got arrested and was given a light sentence. Now, about a decade later, i kinda wanna get into it again, but with the intention of making art in public spaces, not simply for marking my territory. IIN? Should I go back to it?

Graffiti is art! Express it. Just do it in a legal way.

I LOVE graffiti and street art! (not taggging though - it looks like shit)

For sure, go for it! Make yourself some goals because it seems like some of the better street artists out there who are dedicated to their craft, make some pretty good cash selling it.

Some graffiti art I've seen is amazing, and there are jobs out there for that kind of artist I'm pretty sure. Go for it'

My friend does kids bedroom door name plaques in cool graffiti art and sells them. You could also do some canvas' and sell them. A big canvas on a wall would look awesome.

Why would you want to be a normal artist? The whole point of art is to be yourself, not a knock off of something else.

There is a difference between growing up and growing out of it. I got slammed with a charge of $30,000 worth of damage to public property. I only painted sidewalks and condemned properties, now I get paid to do commission walls and pieces.

I'm a graffiti artist and went to jail for it as well.. I'm currently and graphic designer/artist trying to make money out of it.. I say make some canvases and sell them.. Or if you wanna do huge murals, go to Home Depot and buy some huge canvas tarps to mob on, Just don't forget to primer it first because it will just absorb your paint if you don't. Stay off the street though.. =)

Paint giant murals! I see them on the sides of many schools, community centers, and other neighborhood buildings. Or you could be like Bansky.
