Is it normal to be afraid of Ostriches?

I have been scared of ostriches ever since one attacked me. I was 6 years old, and my friend had a petting zoo at their birthday party. I was feeding the animals when all of the sudden the ostrich freaked out and knocked me over. It then procceded to peck me, Is it normal for me to still have a fear of ostriches? I am 18 years old by the way.

Yes, it's normal. A lot of people still have fears of things because of traumatic experiences when they were young.

yeah, its normal. if you have a traumatic experience like that you will be afraid of that thing most likely later in life.

It's not normal for a bird to be that big, they are quite weird looking. I did have a re occuring nightmare about them chasing me, whilst I was in a nappy when I was younger, so I understand where you're coming from.

In fairness to them, they must feel quite sad most of the time, as they're a bird with wings yet they can't fly.

my sister was chased by a rooster when she was little. That wasn't really helpful to you, but maybe it did something to her brain and explains why she has anger issues
