I know this is silly, but I was just wondering if it's normal to be extremely introverted. I used to be very outgoing my freshman year, but something happened when I moved sophomore year that made me this way. Now that I'm a junior I'm back at my old school, but I have a lot less friends because I'm more withdrawn and I seem to not know how to act towards people. I still have friends, it's just that I guess I'm more selective. Thoughts?

I'm same way.

It's normal to be really introverted, as much as it is normal to be extraverted; but because extraverted people are a lot more noticeable, it's hard to spot other introverts anywhere.

That happened to me in middle school. A lively (annoying?) sixth grader....a quieter seventh grader...a shy and quiet eighth grader.

I've been introverted for as long as I can remember, so I hope it's normal haha. But seriously, your story isn't silly. When I was younger I moved about four times in seven years so I know what it's like to be the new kid in school. Now that I'm older, I still keep to myself, but I've definitely made some progress in opening up. It just takes time, sometimes longer for others, which is not a bad thing.
