Is it normal to be in love with someone who might not even exist?

Every night for the past 2 weeks, I've had really realistic dreams about this guy I've never even met. This is the first time I've ever had dreams with a recurring theme. I feel like I'm starting to fall in love with some guy who probably doesn't even exist. I don't want to tell any of my friends about it because it just sounds so crazy. Is this normal? Do you think this person could possibly be out there?

more quirky rather than crazy, probably just a sign of loneliness(which i am sure is normal)
are you having problems with friends/partner not listening to you? or maybe you just need the excitement of meeting someone new perhaps?
either way i wouldn't worry too much.

its nearly impossible to just "make" a human face without at least basing it off somewhere else.

this person is probably a model you saw in a magazine, or a random guy on the street that you forgot you saw. so yeah, he could be out there, but not as the person you imagine him to be : (

and this has happened to me too...just last year i stopped 'seeing' him, hahaha

I think it's completely normal. I mean as the last comment said, you probably saw him somewhere, but don't get your hopes up, love. Don't get yourself hurt.

I have the same problem...i dream about this guy alot that i know doesnt exist...he doesnt even have a name in my dream but it seems like i've known him forever...anyway its probably that you might be lonely so your subconscious is creating the "perfect guy" for you

It's possible that this person could exist, I think. Dreams do have some pseudo-mystical qualities. More than likely, though, it is just a dream.

I dream about women I've never met, too. However, I can't see their faces. Can you actually recall his face? If so, that's odd. Or so I think. I'm no expert, that's just my opinion.

Yeah I can see his face, it's like burned into my brain haha. But yeah, I guess everyone is right that it's probably just a dream. I'm just glad to know that no one thinks that I'm TOO insane :)

No, it's not insanity at all. What it IS, exactly, I'm not sure. Just keep it in your mind. One day, it will mean something.

somebody told me that when you dream about a person you have never met its because you probably have seen that person in real life, but you just dont know them. maybe you see some1 at a crouded place like a concert, and at the moment you dont care, but then you have dreams about the person like you do. so that person probably does exist :)

i had a dream a long time ago that i met this guy and he was so amazing and we had the best time together and i was like omg i found the one, this is so awesome!!! then i woke up and nearly cried i was so upset it wasnt real..it sucks and i always wondered who that guy was and how i made him up

lol i thought i was alone, i had dreams about a boy with curly hair and brown eyes a lot for a while and i would just wake up in an amazing mood just from dreaming it and i would be mad when i wake up from them.
funny thing a neighbor of mines kinda looked like my "dream" boy so that was funny to see

lol, my friend gets that and tries to find the man in her dreams in the real world. I guess if it's such a realistic experiance it's normal. Just like seeing someone everyday you are physical with makes you fall in love.

As long as you don't go sycho about it and tell the whole world he's real than you are normal

Ya know what? it's highly probable that he actually is real yes he probably does exist. yeah i dream about this guy i met online 2 years ago and i only ever saw him in pictures its so weird and he will be in my dreams all the time!!

I had a similar dream several years ago, the girl I met in the dream is still in my head, and I doubt she'll ever go away.
If I ever see a group of new people, I'll look out for her there.
I never see her.
