Yes its normal. If you and him have a connection then have a go at it. Just because his relationship didn't work out with your friend doesn't make him off limits to you.

I realize it puts you in an awkward predicament but you need to follow your feelings. Before you do anything discuss this with your girlfriend,be honest and tell her about your feeling for this guy. If she is a mature girl that is completely over him I'm sure she will give you her blessing.

Its a hard decision but if she tells you stay away you may need to consider giving her up as a friend to follow your heart desire. If i were you i would give it some time and see what transpires before you do anything.

Well, I agree with Gizzy on talking to your friend before anything happens. On the other hand, I truely treasure my friendships. As far as I'm concerened, most ppl aren't worth the trouble. I have 5 genuine friends that mean the world to me. These are friends I can trust with my life and no man would come in between us. If my friend had a history with someone, I would probably avoid it at all costs because I love my g-friends, So, I guess I depends on what your friendship means compared to a guy who shares gum and a few drinks. Who will last longer in your life??

I would suggest getting out of the house more interacting with a wider variety of people and maybe after some time you could see the equation a little more clearly... maybe you will see that your alliance to your friend is a bit more important than another man or per hasp's not..

What Gizzie said is right. Nothing should really come between you and following your heart, unless there are legitimate reasons.

For example, if your friend is not over him, do NOT. Your feelings can wait. If she is over him, but she tells you not to anyway, ignore her. If she threatens to end the friendship, bluff her, and see if she really flicks you off.

Its difficult, but more often than not, the friend will give the blessing.
