My ex was terrriffied of them so I think it is..I mean she would try and dig her nails into the walls

I got stuck in one for three hours once, so I'm not the biggest fan but - like anything - the best way to deal with a fear is to confront it.

Unless your fear is of drowning or getting electrocuted or something.

I believe that lifts mean elevator but I'm not sure. If it does mean an elevator yes it's normal because I'm scared to death of them.
