Is it normal to be shy on the internet?

I was on this site for months before I was brave enough to make a comment, and that's despite being largely anonymous. Then again, I do treat the internet the same was as real life because I think it's dangerous not to.

I feel pretty safe here but I'm pretty shy on forums and chat rooms so much so that I don't go to them. I have trouble reading non spoken ques and body language in real life and via text I obviously find it harder but the grounds are levelled.

Its nearly 5 in the morning and I've done a 12 hr shift so I don't expect this to be close to coherent.

Don't be shy! This is a place where you can be completely anonymous and voice your every opinion without fear of being judged! Even if your a jerk, you can always just make a new account and start over! LOLZ Comment like crazy, people will appreciate you for it!

Dude ? You ovbiously do not realize how this works , most sites do not care or scensor they niether sensor perverts unless your on facebook , cuase they regulate alot they get mad when you talk poeple you dont know and things like that . Anywere else say whatever you want , what do you think everyone else is doing . Poeple use the internet as an escape to freely say what they feel or think . Just do not say anything that would alert the FBI like dont say you want kill the president if you make threats like that you will get arrested . Anything else in the world go its the internet most poeple do not notice or care . So just have fun .

At times, I can be shy on here. Though, I'm certainly allot more shy on other sites than on here. This site is like a sanctuary for us. You can be as open on here as you like:)
