ok, his uncle is either his father's brother or his mother's brother, or an uncle by marriage. if he's an uncle by marriage, you are not really related to him by blood at all.

but otherwise, if his uncle is your father's first cousin, that means that his father or mother is also your father's first cousin. that means that two of his great grandparents are your great grandparents as well.

so he isn't really that distant. hope that helps alittle, or did i get something wrong?

It sounds like he is diasantly related the only thing youll have to worry is if you want to have kids you will have to be tested for compatibility

Calling him ur dad's cousin's NEPHEW renders ur father's cousin's brother unrelated. If he was related, u'd just call him ur dad's cousin's son.

Ummm find someone that your not related to and avoid all the complications of having a relationship with someone your related to. Your not in love with him so move on.

Now socially is a different stories. In a lot of societies relationships and marriages between cousins are a norm. But for some, they are not, and I'm only talking about first cousins. If you two are related, you are only distantly related. If you don't find it a problem and neither does your family, I don't see a problem with it. Whether you choose to divulge this information or not to strangers is up to you. If you find their reactions damaging, then it's not any of their businesses whether you are related to the nth degree or not.

it depends on how you are cousins, and what you do. Attraction is fine, but it is frowned apon and if your related by blood and go all the way, a child would have blood problems.
