Especially the sounds made by cranes, airconditioner, motorbikes, construction equipments etc. to the point that i will give up anything i do or have just not to hear those sounds..

In all seriousness. I'm kind of afraid too. I don't know if it's normal. However, you're not on you own on this. Though, I only get scared if the sound is coming from construction machines. And, I don't think I'm as afraid as you are.
They make mechanical noises too!
The CPU fan never made noise (speed managed by MB to run as quietly as possible), but I wired a switch to turn off all the others.
Now I can fall asleep with the noise, so I don't bother any more. It has actually become weird to not hear it (on the rare occasion that I actually shut it down)
