My and my friend both want to be a photographer and I took a picture of her with her phone and she said she was gonna put it on instagram? It was a really good picture and I got mad because she was gonna take the credit for my picture? Do I have a right to be mad or should I get over myself..
Would it make you mad?

It's a picture...on Instagram. Hardly a work of art.

I'd say it's normal, and I can see why you'd be defensive over something which you believe belongs to you. Your ego wants you to be praised. Your friend's ego wants to be praised as well, even for something which she didn't do. Either that or she just wanted to share the photo:/.

I'm sure your picture was bloody fantastic! Does that help?

Haha, yeah. Phone pictures can be cool and everything, but this seems like an overreaction.

Never be too worried about people ripping off your work (in minor ways). After all, you're the talent, not them. You can do bigger and better things. They've just reduced themself to being a credit-thief.

If my friend post a picture of me and them together, then I don't automatically assume they are taking credit for a photograph. What I do automatically assume is that they are proud of our friendship and want others to see.

Well, I'm not a photographer but as a writer who likes to upload some of my work on the web, I know I wouldn't like it if someone took some of my writing and claimed it as their own, so yeah. I believe you have a right to be little angry. After all, you did take the picture, therefore it is your work. But I wouldn't get so worked up about it that it ends the friendship. I don't think it's a super serious think, but I can understand a bit of anger.

Yea to me. I personally don't like when ppl take it upon themselves to take credit for somethin I did or say. But that's just me. And I know its probably awkward because she's your friend.
