Your mother seems kinda immature.

Hate is a strong word. I'd be careful throwing it around; you only have one mother, and one day when you are older you may have a different understanding of her and your relationship with her. Absolutely normal to be embarrassed of your mom when you are a teenager, but you can try not to react so strongly. That would help both of you, and friends who judge YOU b/c of your mother's weight are superficial and replaceable.

OK, how do you have a cellphone if you don't even have enough clothes to get you through the week? That just doesn't add up. You can buy t-shirts at Walmart for $4. If you're that concerned, get a job. If the problem is that you do have enough clothes but they just aren't 'fashionable enough'; get over it and wear what you've got anyway. If you're sitting around waiting for your mom to do your laundry for you; learn how to do it yourself. If you legitimately think this is a case of child abuse (which I suspect not since you have a cellphone), then tell your counselor at school. Otherwise, quit being a brat, suck it up, get a job and move out when you're 18. Simple solution.

Your mom seems disrespectful. She should give you more respect. She ate your food because you wouldn't get her ice cream? If you are old enough to get a part time job you should maybe get one so you can afford the clothing you want. Also, maybe learn how to cook meals for yourself. That way you won't have the feeling of relying on your mother and hopelessness. Basically, become more independant. I feel sorry for your mom that she is overweight and doesn't know how to treat people.

Where your mother went wrong is eat your food. I understand how you feel but hate is such a strong word for this situation. What do you expect she's your mom. If she doesn't want you to have facebook and have many phone numbers from guys then thats how you have to play the game. I think your mother is a bit immature and you should tell her how you feel. About the clothes thing, Im in the same boat as you. You can ask some family members and friends for clothes they don't want. Also you can try saving money to buy new clothes or get a job. If you ask your mom to buy new clothes Im pretty sure she won't buy any so you would have to try to get them as best as you can.

Mothers do that sometimes because they want to look out for you but I agree that's really annoying

Don't listen to people on here saying your a brat. Your not! I am sorry your mom is treating you that way. Can you try talking to her about stuff, or won't she listen? Do the two of you spend mother/daughter time together, maybe that could help? Maybe she just thinks your growing up too fast and that's why she's acting that way :-)

ummm... it sounds like your mother is immature which stinks understandably but then you seem to have your faults too! who pays for your cellphone?if its mommy then maybe u should tell her thanks for paying for my celly (that is in no way shape or form a necessity) but you would rather the money spent on it be used for clothing for yourself instead! how old are you? old enough for a part time job? . i am 28 years old and have NEVER had a cellphone. they are a waste of money. its an extremely crappy thing to say you hate your mother btw! i bet u wuldn't say things like that if she died! sounds like the two of you don't have a relationship and that is just sad. my mother is my best friend and has been that way always. she has always been there for me. when i was growing up there was a long period of time that we were poor and i was picked on in school as well for wearing cruddy clothes and i was ashamed for a long time as a child/teen but i know now that they provided for me the best they could. hopefully you will have the same love and respect for your mother someday... IN THE MEANTIME U SHOULD KNOW LOVE DOESN'T COME IN THE FORM OF STYLISH CLOTHES! btw perhaps your mother is extremely depressed thus being overweight i can tell you that i would be super depressed if i had i selfish little b***h of a child! trying giving her your time and affection and maybe you will both be happy!
