It's not them being wealthy that bothers me, it's the sensationalism.
There are a lot of people who are as wealthy or wealthier than them, who are not so shallow. Those kids went to private schools with kids who were wealthier than they were, but who wants to be the bottom of that pack. I think that being in the media or a "celebutantes" gives them the recognition that they cannot get amongst their rich peers, so they turn to the rest of us. Wouldn't it be better to be King Shit of Turd Island, than be the pauper amongst all of your wealthy counterparts?
