I live in a school mainly brought up of hispanics and asians. Colored practically. I notice that everyone feels inferior to the rich whites that pass by our school and laugh at the ghetto lower class. Of course everyone in the school says that they hate when some rich whites act like that and they hate them but i know whats truely going on in their heads. They hate that they see them as prettier, richer, and happier but i know that is completely false. ANy culture can be beautiful. ITs suprising on how much negativity im surrounded in. Is it normal to hate the rich or just except what you have and know that their better? And do i feel this way to?
I don't think they should be judged so harshly even if it seems like "all" of them judge you or other less fortunate people. There may also be a chance that a few of those rich kids probably don't like being around that type of people and would be more happier living a normal life like you and me
They feel all superior. But there's no changing the fact your intelligent and observent and they are stuck up.
As matter of fact, now that you mention it, I hate the whole concept of money. I hate the fact that I have to have some to eat or sleep out of the rain. I hate the fact that I have to waste my one and only life performing some stupid task just to get some.
The problem seems to be that all you bastards out there are just too selfish to feed and clothe me unless I pay for it.
y'know...
poor...er
But really, some people who are rich (and white) can be total dickwads.
THEY ARE DISGRACES TO US RICH WHITE PEOPLE!
DISGRACES!
-.-
Now if only I was ACTUALLY rich.
Then again, I probably am considered rich when compared to a LOT of people.
Rather, I need rich people.
The owners where I work are VERY rich. I HOPE that doesn't CHANGE. That's my version of HOPE and CHANGE.
If any politician steals the rest of their money, I'll be standing in a bread line!
Unless one of you has a better idea. I'm all ears...
If someone doesn't grow up with blacks, he/she is tend to discriminate. I think you are used to seeing how "reality" is, and arrogant people in general get you pissed. It also has to do with race, but not all rich people are white and not all white people are such and stuck up.
It is clever of you to see through all this and to appreciate more universal values: such as the beauty and dignity of every person & culture. Self and community respect can mitigate actual and perceived racial and class privilege.
Is there anyway you can bring this to the schools attention to get them to build and promote more positive feelings within your school community about itself?
i kno some of these fools that think they all that & a can of pringles JUST b/c they rich & can play soccer. BiG FRAGGEN WHOOP!! they at school to learn, not brag about how rich they are & how good they can kick a ball.
Never look up to them you have to keep in mind that its all just a simple illusion they try so very hard to keep up.
You need to allow room to think that some rich people who are white will be nice and kind, and that people like that do exist.
Also, there is the thought that you want people to treat you kind, so you might want to treat others kind too. Or at least make an effort to be kind, or not act evil and hateful just becaue they do. You can be better than them and you can act better too.
Having pride or self-esteem in yourself might help make you immune to the negative opinions people from all walks of life will have toward you at one time or another.
