Is it normal to have a very specific "type"??

I was wondering, is it normal to be attracted to a type, and never deviate from it? I know everyone has a type, but everyone I know admits feeling physically attracted to people that fall outside the realms of their "type". I don't think I ever have. My ideal guy is very tall,(around six and a half feet, or taller)has dark hair, is slim enough for their hip bones to be visible, well dressed and has strong hands. If the guy is wearing eyeliner too, it's all the better. I've had the same type ever since I started noticing guys. I can appreciate the attractiveness of other guys, for sure, but they just don't fit with me, if that makes sense? Personality has to fit too, of course, but the physical side of it, i have been recently told, is odd. Is it?
Do you think it's normal?

I don't know about the eyeliner, but it's perfectly fine to have a fantasy of your perfect guy. Yes I said fantasy. To get all that in one package, with a good personality and make sure that he's not taken or gay is next to none. Looking for only one type of guy is shutting you off from many many many others who may be perfect for you. Remember, you might find a 10, but when love hits, it can make even a humble 6 seem like one. Your fantasy is not odd (everyone has their type - the number of girls wanting a 6 foot, dark haired, good dresser is uncountable) but the fact you aren't willing to deviate from it is.

Other than the sheer impossiblity of finding someone who fits your bill, you also sound incredibly shallow I'm afraid. You probably wouldn't feel very sexy or liked if someone passed you over based purely on your looks. I don't know how old you are, but I'm assuming quite young, because as you get older you realize how much more important personality is than looks. If you're looking for your perfect prince, you're going to miss out on the guy who could treat you like his perfect princess.

To be blunt though, I'm quite happy for girls like you to continue their endless search for the imaginary jocks and dicks of the world while the nice guys snatch up the girls who aren't basing their love life only on looks. I'm 6 foot, handsome, dark haired, well dressed, skinny and strong (no eye liner though) but I definitely wouldn't take a second look at you if you told me this story. Take my advice, be mature and realize that perfect looks aren't everything.
