I don't care a whole lot about humans. I wouldn't go out of my way to kill one for no reason, unless my reason was for enjoyment (which I seriously doubt I'd ever get to that stage). I don't care a lot about animals, but they seem to be the only ones in which I can feel a very, very short period of sadness if I see one being mistreated. My horse died a few days ago, and I didn't seem even normally saddened, but just a bit saddened. I felt a little sad for about less than an hour, then didn't really care anymore. I'm not sure what this could be.
Is is normal to have a selective sense of emotions to not be saddened much, but only be saddened a little for a short period of time when an animal is hurt?

Perhaps it could be a mild place on the autism spectrum?
Damn it, I don't know.
