Is it normal to have zombie nightmares?

Hey!

Is it normal to keep having nightmares about the same thing? Usally it's about zombies chasing me or me in a dark house with a zombie in a room, staring at me. I wonder if there is a reason behind this?

Is there anyway I can get them to stop?

Thanks in advance.

i used to have a reoccuring dream about t rex chasin me through the garden section of home depot. but i musta out grown it. do you have a special zombie fear? try facin your fears. maybe a spoof zombie move will make you feel better. ie shawn of the dead.

Well, I have tried watching shawn of the dead (seen it countless times) and others, I just end up enjoying the films. lol

I still don't know why I am having the same recurring nightmare though. hmm..

Well being chased in your dreams is like your subconscious pointing out that you are running away from a problem in your life. Since you keep having this dream maybe you keep having the same problem but refuse to face it? So everytime you run from the problem you have the zombie dream, ya know?

Yeah, I get these sorts of dreams a lot too. It's not necessarily zombies or zombie-like beings though - sometimes, it's a different dimension where everyone I know has become evil or there's an evil organisation shasing me or it's a whole lot of crazy vampires...well, the running theme is being chased.

As plastic123 said, it could be that you're running away from something. No-one can really say. Personally, I simply enjoy my dreams (yes, I even enjoy the terrifying running for my life ones.) Unfortunately, I don't think there is any sure fire way of making these dreams stop.

that is so true I've had this problem too and now that I think of it every time that problem appears I have that dream

I had a dream about hiding in a house with 1000000s of dead outside.
Biggest dream ever.

I never had zombie nightmares, but I used to have recurring nightmares where I would be running away from someone that was trying to kill me. The person would be different, but the whole dream was just about me frantically trying to delay my inevitalbe death. Spooky, but normal.

Yeah it's really creepy!

I also forgot to mention that when having these nightmares, when I am running away, It's like I can only run in slow motion and the zombie eventually catches me, then I wake up.

My daughter has a really bad habit of having zombie nightmares! She has the same vision 3 times in arow, and is weirdly used to being frightened while she is asleep. She can watch zombie movies without getting scared, but when she is in bed, she tells me the same thing every day and she don't know how to avoid it.

I also have zombie dreams, usually they pop up when Im stressed about something in my life. Right now, I feel lonely, I have to find a place to live, my boyfriend and I broke up. so there you have it i suppose.
Its not pleasents dream, even tho Im not really bothered by them when I wake up anymore. Usually starts with me and people I dont even know, and we try to help eachother and move forward. The one I had last night was a bit special, we were hiding in a school-looking enviorment, maybe a bit more like an office?
I was with this one guy, who I didnt know at all. I was running around, looking doors, closing them..When the zombies attacked me, I closed my eyes as I fought them, I dont have control but somehow I didnt get hurt. Suddenly my friend gets attacked by a living person but he kills her. That was weird..we move on, we meet other survivors and my unknown friend wants to travel to his home, I think since I dont have anything left,no family, no plan, I join him... But I always know, there's something coming, hiding and I cant really trust anybody.

I googled, and several people are having these dreams. some watch zombiemovies or play the zombiegames, some dont. Very interesting.

I had a zombie dream a couple days ago. I eventually kept dieing and responding, probably from World at War.
I think you should just face the zombie fear. Watching a zombie movie could make it worse, so if 1 doesn't work, just try not to think about them.
