Is it normal to not always feel like eating, even when I'm hungry?

I don't ever not because I'm purposely trying to lose weight or feel uncomfortable when eating food or don't have enough time or am too busy or absorbed in an activity or project to eat. It has nothing to do with emotional problems, depression or eating disorders. Sometimes I just don't feel like eating so I only eat a little bit throughout the day, even if I'm hungry. I usually don't eat until I start to feel dizzy or get hunger pains, and even then I eat something small. It's not that I dislike food; I love food and I like eating, it's just sometimes I don't feel like it.This isn't all time time; sometimes I eat a lot and feel like eating, other times I'm just not in the mood to eat. I've been like this since I can remember. I'm not overly worried about it, I just wonder if other people wax and wane with how often they eat too. Is this normal?

Yeah, I do this a lot. I sometimes just don't feel like eating (especially lunch) but if someone gives me food i'll eat it without thinking about it. But, when I go to get my own food, I am just not into it sometimes. Also, there are times when I am eating and I just become tired of eating what ever it is.

Maybe when you don't feel like eating but you are hungry you might think of it as medicine to keep you well. It's called self-care. If you are letting it get to the stage where you are feeling dizzy then you are abusing yourself after a fashion - don't. You deserve to look after your basic needs!
Good luck:-)!

Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean by abusing myself after a fashion? Are you saying I'm purposely doing this to be thin?

Also Like I said I don't always go into the stage where I don't eat to the point of dizziness. It waxes and wanes constantly. When that DOES happen I make sure I do eat. I think a lot of it has to do with the effort of eating. Sometimes I'm busy and don't feel like getting involved. Other times I'm simply not hungry. I've never had a big appetite to begin with, but like I said it waxes and wanes.

This is too much information how? I didn't really think this story was particularly grotesque but alright.

It was enough to make me feel sick.

How did it make you feel sick? Please explain, because I really don't understand how saying I don't like to eat sometimes is disgusting or TMI. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just curious.
