I'm 18 and one of my mom's friend's granddaughters annoys me. She's just really, really hyper and there is just something about her. It's like she can't stay still for just a second. Now don't get me wrong, I love kids, but hyper people (in general of all ages) just rub me the wrong way. And I'm a pretty laid-back, introvert person. My mom has noticed my attitude about/toward her and made me feel really bad about it but I can't help how I feel about certain people and how honest I am about them. Plus it sucks when I want to hang out with her grandma (whom I really like and is a really cool person) and she has to bring along her granddaughter. Ugh, what should I do?

"Now don't get me wrong, I love kids"
What are you talking about?! He does want to fuck her!
@ the OP: It's perfectly normal to dislike annoying people, regardless of their age.
So here is an opportunity to identify coping skills for you to deal with people you don't care to be around. There is no shortage of them either and you will need to develop ways to get througfh your day without "flashing" or "lashing" out on people that annoy you.
Like the gangster NBA basketball player once proclaimed, "practice, we talkin' 'bout practice".
1. Never combine a 12hr flight with a 3hr bus trip
2. Children love candy
3. Have a bag of candy with you, when you need some peace and quiet, give them a piece in exchange for them playing somewhere else or staying silent for a period of time.
Quite obviously this kid is bored out of her mind and no one helping her with all that built up energy.
Try even playing catch, or hide and seek, or anything at all. I mean you yourself may have a 9yo daughter one day. Do Something!
Just make up that youre not into kids and its fine, unless youve alrealdy told them you like her
