Are You Normal?

Is it normal to remember things the way I do?

For example, say I'm having a conversation with someone about bananas.

Bananas will make me think of plantains (since they are made out of a type of banana), which will make me think of the Caribbean (since plantains are a staple there), which will make me think of Rihanna (since she's from the Caribbean), which will make me think of wife beaters (since she was beaten by Chris Brown), which will make me think of Steve Wilkos (since he deals with wife beaters on his show), etc.

All of these thoughts will zoom through my head in a fraction of a second. Is it normal for me to associate different things in this manner, and so rapidly?
Do you think it's normal?

wow. i personally don't have that active of a brain. if that's your way of remembering things, so be it! if no one does it your way, it really IS YOUR WAY and you're special. so i'd say this is completely normal, the way you relate things to one another to remember them.
Sure - as long as you can focus on something important and not just randomly associate essentially nothing.

But no, you do not have super powers.
ditto
I think the exact same way, except not so fast. Usually that whole train of thought will take me at least ten or so minutes.
