Every time i shut my door i make sure to turn the door knob a little bit to the left so it doesnt make such a loud noise when i shut it..its just some habbit i picked up from the rest of my family and it also insures i dont wake people up in the morning when i leave for work..all of my room mates seem to do the opposite and it bugs the SHIT out of me..

Yeah it is normal, i just hate when sound interrupts the silence, it kind of breaks up my collected demeanor.

yes, I would get trouble for slamming the door, so now it is just a habit. I don't like the sound of the door slamming.

I NEVER slam doors. I always do this to doors to. I make sure they make little to no noise. Especially if im sneaking somewhere.

Yes it is normal. Slamming doors all the time is abnormal, or a reflection of a upbringing lacking in manners. Slamming doors is flat out rude, there is really no other way to put it.
