I totaly agree thats totally normal I do the same stuff all the time and it doesn't mean you don't have a life it means that you are just curious and maybe a lil bit confused... Don't worry about it :)

Listen kid, if you like Facebook, don't take this too harsh. But you shouldn't care if "whether your Facebook reflects you in a positive manner" (as you put it), as long as you reflect yourself in a positive manner outside of Facebook.

Facebook, and a lot of other websites, have just become excuses for not being a decent person and meet people face to face. At least that is my opinion.

You are vain, even though you are average, that is why you spend so much time looking at yourself on facebook. No one else really is.

If you want comments you have to give them. If you see a photo that tickles your fancy say so. People see your comments and go 'I haven't checked out this person's profile in awhile' and often they'll comment on your stuff while they're looking. People probably don't comment on your stuff because you seem like the type to not like comments.
