There are great things about being with a nerd:

1) It is well-documented that nerds are very nice, gentle, kind, caring and not egoistic at all. They are very harmless people and they never let ego get in the way. In fact, more likely than not they are very eager to please you.

2) Nerds are very low maintenance. Give them their space to play World of Warcraft and occasionally pay for their pizza takeaway and they will worship you like a goddess.

3) They will never cheat on you. They are socially incompetent and awkward to begin with. Women generally don't find them very attractive.

4) Nerds are focussed on what they love and therefore chances are one day they will be hugely successful. Bill Gates is one very good example. His wife is a lucky woman.

How do I know this? I'm a nerd myself. I read lots of manga and anime as a teenager and I still love playing video games today (although a lot less than 10 years ago). But of course, women far prefer sexy boys with neither the brains nor sense of purpose. :-)

I'm like the biggest nerd ever, but I'm also a pretty hot and very well muscled. I mean, I'm the most well read person I know, and I also spend a good 1-2 hours working out a day. Just drop the stereotype, which if you're in middle school or early high-school can be hard. People just don't fit into neat categories like that.

It's not weird at all. Speaking as an old fart, it sounds like you are more considered about what's inside a person, rather than the just the outside. That's very mature. Also, if you like ST and sports, it shows that you have balanced interests as well. You go ahead and like whoever you want.

I would never date someone who wasn't a nerd! They're far more fun to be with and interesting than anybody else. And apreciate you way more. Plus if you go out with a nerd, you'll have someone to watch Star Trek with!

There are nerds who don't look like nerds. There could be those who are in the football team and love to read constantly. There are all sorts of nerds. At least everyone has a little sense of "nerd" inside them. It's great to know that some have a preference to people who are unsocial but want to be loved too.

I love nerds.... I married one and then became one myself!!! When you get to know people, even the ones who thought were so cool and amazing, end up being nerdy and goofy. So it doesn't matter. As you grow up you realize that there is nothing wrong with being a dork, a nerd, or uncool. Cause you just stop caring about those titles. :)

Why not? Do you prefer a jerk?... Just loser girls prefer the popular jerk over a smart guy with potential to become successful in the future. Don't let your loser friends to influence you over your preferences or your own thoughts! Because they probably end up with a jerk a bunch of keys and broke...

I think intelligence is a very admirable trait. Nerds seem to value it, so I admire them to some extent. I think I am a bit of a nerd myself, though. or at least I was in high school.
