I've just changed my profile picture to be one of a bruise I had. The picture is a bit washed out and the bruise was more colourful than it looks, but it's still pretty nifty.

It's normal. They are very beautiful and fascinating. There's a tumblr blog dedicated to bruises. The last bruise I got was when I gave blood for testing. It changed into four to five different colours in the course of a few weeks. 1. It was light blue 2. It turned light purple to dark purple 3. It turned greenish-yellow 4. The yellow finally started to return to my original colouring.

I don't know if any of you have had a really bad (you're lucky you didn't break a bone) bruise before but they are pretty. They're red, purple, and green. They also heal from the center outward. It looks really cool kind of like a nebula.

I've known people who are into BDSM and do whips and caning and things like that, and I've seen people try to be "artistic" with the lashing so the bruises look all symmetrical and patterned and whatnot... I'd say it's normal. XD

I'm really into body mod and have always been fascinated with scarrification myself. Obviously that's a bit different from what you're describing, but giving other examples of where that of aesthetic is common :P

ah, wait untill you'll get a bunch of scars as well. if you're a girl i'm not sure you'll like it, but for a guy it's manly as hell.
