Idk why but I just have this weird feeling when ever I walk into my house. When I go into my room at night, I swear that I hear someone calling my name. I've never done anything that would attract a spirit and nobody else in my family believes in the paranormal.
Is It Normal?

Alright, it's gonna be a looong story, but worth reading.
A disclaimer, though. I don't drink booze, don't take any type of drugs and don't have a history of any mental disorders.

A couple of years ago I decided to move from my shit-town to a big city and moved in with a guy I knew. it was a huge place this guy rented for his family, but his life sucks, so ended up living alone in a 5 bedroom house. A month later and we had a full house with 5 tenants, we all knew each other but never were super friendly.

it all started around the 3rd month. I took the basement and sometimes, while reading stuff on my computer i started hearing a kid's voice saying "hey, can you hear me?". it sounded like a crappy voice recorder, had this electronic tone to it. The frequency of the phrase was really random, it could be 10 times in 5 min. or could be nothing the whole day. After a while there were a bunch of other noises already, white noise, something that sounds like "tsk, tsk, stk" and it was all audible, loud and clear.

I ignored, cause I usually ignore everything and everyone.
But after 2 months of hearing that across the whole house -upstairs and downstairs i started losing it a bit. I told Greg that I'm hearing voices, but instead of making a joke out of it he turned around and said, "fuck, you too?" Apparently every one of us heard the same recorded voice of a kid in our rooms, kitchen and etc. We torn the house apart, assuming it's just some prank. Blamed it all on one roommate, who never had anything to do with it. A week later and we ran out of ideas. Thought it was an EVP (electronic voice phenomenon), so we unplugged, shut down and took outside everything electrical or electronic, all the latptops, phones, kitchenware, tv's and etc. Checked all the airshafts for lost toys or shit like that.
NOTHING.

One last option -mass psychosis. We called a bunch of random friends one night. never told them what's that about, just said "a party". They all heard the same shit by the end of the night.

How did it end? I dunno, "ghosty" (that's what we named him) was still talking by the time everyone moved out. Although I was the last one to go and my last 2 nights in the house were pretty quiet.

I love the part where you said he bought the house for his family but his life sucks and he ended up living alone.

Paranormal experiences are more common than most people realize. And some people are more sensitive to spirits than others. Not trying to sound crazy, but when you've lived somewhere haunted, and you know the fear.. It's impossible to deny it. I live in the home my grandmother died in, and was shown a lot she never got to share with me, she died when I was 5.
So long story short, crazy shit started happening and I just accepted it. Once you stop fearing them, they don't bother you. Usually.

It's normal to feel strange in certain places, and it's normal to feel weird or afraid at night. It's also normal to hear things when you're tired, or to mistake sounds for words. Your house isn't haunted, though.

I do not like the concept of the Supernatural, but every now and then I will have an odd paranormal experience. I also have mental problems, though, so it may just be in my head.

That said, it's probably nothing to be afraid of, they can't hurt you (most of them, anyway. If it was going to hurt you, it would have already most likely done so). I'd recommend trying to engage it in conversation, politely asking it to leave if necessary, or getting an animal to come sleep with you. Ghosts usually trigger an odd and often very noticeable reaction out of dogs and cats (mainly dogs), so at the very least, you're not alone and you know for sure whether or not you are in the presence of a specter. At which point, you may ask them to leave and they will usually respect your wishes.

I think my house is haunted too, sometimes. A toy car came flying at me, for no reason, one day.

Maybe the car was angry at you?

That's just me, calm down. I just wanted to make some friends. :(

First off, you need to understand that such paranormal experiences, although may seem realistic, are not. Sometimes, when everything is quiet and dark, your mind tends to play tricks on you. I know that when everything is silent, I hear a slight humming sound sometimes.

Either that or watched too many horror movies.
