Is it normal to think you see animals or monsters that shouldn't be their because I've been seeing some werid stuff and I don't like to be alone it scares me seeing those things

I usually see things that are not there at night when I am outside. Most of the time I'll think up a character or scene, and use it for my art. I've always had an over active imagination, though. :}
I have a creepy looking imagination. XD
Oh and by the way the only experience I've ever had was seeing a giant white dog, or wolf, run past me in my apartment complex. I looked in the direction it came to see an owner but I saw nobody. My brother was standing next to me and swears he didn't see it, although I think he's just saying that to make me worried. I've never seen anything as disturbing as what you saw in your room.
