Yes this is very normal but you should consider the best way to go forward. The common mistake that is made is having a friend or some guy hook up with her. I think it’s abnormal but not wrong as in more people don’t do that then do it but I wouldn’t recommend it. I personally believe a relationship that turns into an open type relationship of that nature leads to feeling of jealousy and mistrust as in you start thinking she is liking the other men more then you or you start thinking she is carrying on with one of the men behind your back or worse she does start doing that.
