Tip for men: Neediness annoys women. I'm not being sarcastic. It really does. Quiet unshakable confidence is much more attractive. If you don't have that confidence, keep your yapper shut.
To the OP: Yes, but don't actually hit him. And don't tell him he's needy. He'll just get more insecure and you'll get into a downward spiral. Think of ways of making him more secure (and, happily for you, less annoying).
