Hi
I am new to this site and have an odd question
Background on me : i am 22 years old. I am a student at university. i live with my 28 year old boyfriend for about 3 years now. My boyfriend had a great job and is educated. I have (1) 4 year old son. My sons father has nothing to do with myself or son and is completely out of the picture.
ok,
Yesterday while at my fathers house my dad had asked me to write a will so that if anything should happen to me, my dad would get my son.(my parents are divorced)
My mom has also said this to me.... several times..... I remember when i was a child, all my parent would do is fight constantly over who gets me on what weekend and we never had a "normal" family.
Anyways... my boyfriend and i have created a normal, nice, quiet family together..my boyfriend and son have the best relationship ever! I could not ask for a better role model for my son.......................... Is it wrong that if anything should happen to me,, i would write in my will that i want my boyfriend to raise my son? While keeping in contact and visiting my parents with my son........
I have spoken to my boyfriend about this and he is more than willing...(if something should ever happen to me)
Is It Normal?

Normal.
Sounds like your boyfriend really cares for him and could probably raise him better than your parents would.
Why not? You just want the best for your child.

When I first read the question, I thought it would really not be a good idea. After getting the details it sounded like it would be reasonable. Your boyfriend agreed to the matter and it sounds like the best option for your son.
Good luck
