I've seen it work. It's not the look I go for but when done well and it suits them I don't think it looks tacky. I think it's normal to think that, though:).

IT's a bold look, a lot of people don't pull it off so well, but I personally think it looks fantastic when done right. Everyone has their preferences though. :)

I think that it depends on the context and how well the woman pulls it off. If she's dressed to kill and she looks good in it, I don't see an issue. If it blends well with her outfit and style then it usually looks good. If she's got rainbows on her eyelids and she's your kid's preschool teacher that... well that'd be pretty funny.
