Is it okay that I like a boy of a different race?

I met this guy and I have a HUGE crush on him. He's nice, and funny and we talk sometimes. Lately, he's been talking to me more. The other day, he was cracking jokes, and while me and all my friends were laughing, he asked me specifically why I laugh a lot (and I told him I don't like being unhappy, which I guess he thought was a good enough answer.) Then, another day, he was playing around and tapping me on my shoulder to get me to turn around and look at him (and I thought it was kind of funny because I'm really childish) and one of his close friends asked me (in front of him and all my friends) if I'd go out with him. I told him I don't know because we just met because I didn't want him to think I was some weirdo stalker. We have a lot of un together, but the only problem is that I'm an African American and he's caucasian. Is there anything wrong with that? Should I be concerned? Or, is it normal?

It's the 21st Century. If you like him and he likes you then go for it. Other people, depending on who you know, might still have some prejudice, but that's their problem.

Ok I think this is totally normal because there is such social pressure to base a relationship off of racial boundaries. Bottom line, if you like him, have a good time with him, and he treats you well then go for it!

i think is fine...i date someone of a different race and its actually fun sometimes and yes sometimes you guys do Clash, BUT i think the clashing part is normal being that you are different and it is what it it. other than that u guys like eachother which makes everything 100% ok. u guys will have pretty kids. hahahhaha
