Is it possible we're more than "just friends"?

Ok I have a friends who is a girl and we're close really close...last night we talked on the phone for a few hours...I never talk to anyone for more than 30 minutes tops. She hasent even been on the phone with her Boyfriend for that long. For the last couple of weeks people have been accusing us of going out behind her boyfriends back. My one buddy says its obvious we've been going out. So I wait for her after gym class. I hang out with her at lunch. We give each other food. I think I've covered it all. We'll I just want to know if it is possible that we're more than just friends. I dont want to ask her straight out because I dont want to make an akward situation seem even more akward than it all ready is. So one more time the question is are we more than just friends?

Chris if I was really after her then I wouldnt be here and the last girl I talked about I was going to ask her out and the guy knew it I still think he just asked her out to piss me off.
Kristina thank you for the helpful advice. a part of me kinda wants it to be but the better half of me knows better. and I dont want to make and akward situation even more akward
