Is my child safe at a nudist resort?....

Hello everyone. I'm a 22 yr old woman preg with child. My Husband and myself are excited as well as my inlaws. My inlaws are nudists and live at a nudist resort. My husband and I don't judge them for their way of living, however my inlaws can't seem to understand that we are more reserved about our bodies and they don't know why we don't change our lifestyle and drop our clothes like them. We are generally not comfortable visiting with them as seeing old saggy people is never a pleasant sight for us. Our concern is that whether we should subject our child to their way of living. I am concerned about our childs saftey at the resort, not saying that I don't trust my inlaws, I just can't get past the cringing throught of some naked person hugging, or touching our child in any way, or taking pictures...we don't want our child running nude for all to see either. I've been trying to best determine how to confront my inlaws about this, because I do want them in my childs life, just not at the resort or around that lifestyle of living. I don't feel that my inlaws will take it well and my husband changes the subject when I try to talk to him about our childs saftey. Does anyone have any thoughts about all this, it would be a great help :-)

I live by a few nudist colonys and ive known alot of people that live in them. I dont support kids being brought to them or raised in them, a kid should not be subjected to nudity at all. Most nudist are swingers and their is alot of sex that goes on at the pools in these places between old people the last thing you want is your kid going down to the pool and seeing this. I say dont bring your kid there period and tell them you dont want your kid seeing this stuff it could be harmful to him.

its your child and as a responsible parent its your call, they might get a bit pissed but if they understand that your only worried about the kids welfare they might understant :)

Actually its proven that a child that grown up in a family that shares open nudity it's more likely they will stay off the streets or less likely to get into larger scale crimes.

If you decide to go to a nudist camp doit... but leave the kids at home! When they are older if they want to go thenit's their decision not yours!

I would like to say you all are morons with facts as "Most nudist are swingers" & "your kid is gonna get anally raped likely" and Killington you are an idiot.

Children who are brought up in a nudist environment are more comfortable with themselves and others around them.

Also the sight of seeing old saggy people just be glad they are still around and hopefully you will get to be old and saggy too.

My parents were nudists when they were younger, down in New Mexico. Took our family to a few resorts as I remember, I was like five or six.

Thing you need to remember is that nudists, Most of them (except for ChrisUFC, I'm sure) are in it for the Health and Sun, not to grunts and groans. I also understand that most reputable camps do Not take fondly to cameras.

For the hugging thing, well, it is really not different than hugging people in general. Most people don't let their kids hug random strangers these days, and if you see a male relative hugging your kid - you will know Instantly if he is a pervert.

I am not into it myself, but some swear by it.

There is a difference in nudism or naturalism and pornography. Nudism believes in the freedom from the restrictions of clothing, Porn is for sexual gratification. And you may need to check naturistspace.org out there, it's a cool place to meet some new&pure nudist friends... I met many cool like minded friends there. And I would say "YES" if I haven't found the greatplace naturistspace.org, but I met a wonderful man through this site and we had many wonderful experiences together.In fact, it was the best dating experience that I ever had.We dated for roughly 3 months & it was a lot of fun! I enjoyed things that I never thought I would, or even could, and had the opportunity to visit many different places on his arm. So what I want to say is if you don't go on the next one you'll never find what your looking for.And it still has many classy men and women who are considerate and respectful towards eachother.You may need to check it out there.

Body shame is a social construction. Artificial and of little use. Taking modesty too far. More important things are lost in the effort to have a bit if skin be hidden. Like lost time with family. Your in-laws, like most nudists, feel enlightened by this part of their knowledge, and hope others learn this. We think it more healthy to not reject our bodies.
