knife sharpness testing
i test all knifes sharpness bu hitting the blade on my arm without cutting it (don't ask how i get it right. i've been doing it for long), and i'll be able to tell you how easy it's gonna cut. my cousin says it's wierd. he said it when i was looking to buy a machette the other day and was testing them all (which is understandable. i looked like jason x looking for a new blade). i also somehow manage to look at a blade once and tell if it's sharp. am i abnormally talented or am i just a freak for blades? i'm betting on the second one...

If you tried that with my edged tools you would be in the hospital. Try shaving the hair of your arm. If it can do that, it is good enough for most purposes.

Hell I'm pretty well invested in this sort of thing I recommend Maxwell Brook's two books the zombie survival guide, and world war Z but I would go with the audio book for world war z if you can =)
