My problem is my dad, who incidentally is a bit of an a**hole, insists on falling asleep on the couch every night.
He is in his fifties and, being the respectable Senior that he is, wears a plaid nightgown, which is the most unceremonious imaginable sight to see when you first arrive home. Your father drunk on the couch snoring, wearing a nightgown.
But THAT'S not the problem either, I'm sure my future years of therapy will nullify that; the problem is that every time I try to sleep all I hear is him snoring downstairs on the couch. I can't go down and wake him up because I fear that one day I won't be so lucky and the knot he tied won't be so durable, so I sit in bed, intermittently throwing nearby objects at the opposite wall, from soda bottles to a small stockpile of rocks I gathered for that specific occasion although this only stops him for a moment before he resumes again.
Then, however, I spotted my air horn.
I made the decision that the next time he does that he will get a 220-decible 'Good Morning.'
Is it normal to have problems like this with your parents?
