I just wanted to know if it were legal for two minors of the same exact age, and when I say minors, I specifically mean people ages 13-16 to have sex. I live in New York by the way. And I know some of you might say "Just wait" but if I ever have the chance to have sex, I just want to know if it is legal. And if it isn't legal, would a harsh punishment really be enforced?

i think it might be legal in alabama but here in NY, it might be higher, i don't know. If you were wondering if you were normal, forget about it, jk jk!

No it is not legal. The age of consent (even if both parties are minors) is 18 in every state except 3 or 4 (I don't know which those are)

I have no idea what the penalty is. Depends if her dad gets super pissed (which he will if he is alive). Your best bet is to make sure no one finds out.

If your minors, the legal consequences will be less than severe. I have never heard of two minors getting into trouble for having sex with each other.

I think both are same age are fine as long as the parents don't know. If they do, either of the parents will get sue.

lol, well at 13 u shouldn't be having sex, but as long as both ppl having sex are under 17 or 18 its legal, now my ex bf and I couldn't have sex b/c I was 16 and he was 19, now thats illegal, but now we are both legal b/c he's 20 and I'm 17!

For all practical purposes the legal age of consent is 16 thru 18 and that means that! It doesn't mean that a 10 yr old can have sex with another 10 yr old, or 13 with 13, or 16 with 16. It means what it says legal age of consent! So in other words if the legal age of consent is 18 and to 17 yr olds have sex be ready to pay the price. Want to stay out of trouble..find out what the law in your area is! Then keep your pants on until then!
