My boyfriend was completely mad at me and didn't even want to lay next to me to go to sleep. yet when we did lay down he had a massive hard on.. is that normal to get an erection when you are really mad at someone and completely turned off by them at that moment.

An erection doesn't mean arousal. Temperature and blood pressure change (ie: from adrenaline/anger) can cause an erection, without any arousal whatsoever.

This is just sooooooooo misinterpreted by females who have no hope of understanding this completely.

Erections can happen from more things than just your presence.

They happen when guys are alone and not aroused by anything in particular. Morning wood is a good example

Yes it's normal. When you are mad you are in a heightened state of arousal. Dopamine and norepinephrine are surging through your body. It's common for that energy to convert to sexual energy. Men have known that secret for years. that is why they take their girlfriends on roller-coasters and to scary movies. Were you to have had sex with him that night, it could have been quite intense, if not, it was your loss hehe.
