My Dreams Feel Incredibly Real - 85% Normal

The title pretty much says it all. Whenever I have a dream, it's extremely graphic and it feels like it's really happening. The onther night, I dreamt my sister was run over by a bus, but it was so detailed and graphic that when I woke, I thought she had really died. I instantly began crying, but after a few minutes I realized it was a dream. Other dreams can leave me paralyzed when I wake up and they haunt me for a few weeks. Is this normal?
